Belur and Halebid are the best known temples of the Hoysala dynasty. The Belur and Halebid temples give a glimpse of Hindu temple art at its glorious best of the 16th century. They are famous for their carvings and splendid architecture. The Hoysalas improved on the Chalukyan style of architecture by building extremely ornate temples in many parts of Karnataka noted for the sculptures in the walls, ceilings, curved pillars etc. They followed Dravidian style, vesara style of architecture.

Chennakesava Temple, Belur
Chennakesava Hindu temple at Belur in the Hassan district of Karnataka is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and an important pilgrimage site in Vaishnavism. The temple was built by Vishnuvardhana with artwork, sculptures, icons and friezes from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.
Hoysaleswara temple, Halebidu
Halebidu Hoysaleswara Temple was sponsored by King Vishnuvardhana and one of the numerous temple ruins of Hoysala architecture in Karnataka. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and largest monument in Halebidu, followed by near by temples of Kedareshwara Temple.

Kedareshwara Temple, Halebidu
Kedareshwara Temple is located at a short distance from the Hoysaleswara Temple in the town of Halebidu and protected as a monument of national importance. Hoysala era temple has three shrines and is well known for its friezes and relief of both God Shiva and God Vishnu.

Manjarabad Fort, Sakleshpur
You need to climb 150 steps to reach the Manjarabad Fort. This place is a favourite among the youth and offers many thrilling activities. Apart from trekking which is the most exciting thing to do here.
Shettihalli Church
After the construction of the Hemavati Dam and Reservoir in 1960 the church was abandoned. It has since then become a famous tourist spot where people flock to see the half submerged church during monsoon. It is also known as The Submerged Church and The Floating Church.
