THE IDEAL PLAN

Start from Bangalore City at around 5am-7am and head straight to Badadi 1 hr 11 min (34.9kms) recommended breakfast joint is Sree Renukambha Bidadi Thatte idli along Mysore Rd, Near Bidadi police Station. After your breakfast head to Coorg, There are mainly 2 routes to reach Coorg. Both routes are the same till Mysore, after which you can either drive via Kushalnagar or via Nagarhole and Gonikoppal. via Kushalnagar : Drive down Bangalore to Bidadi, Ramanagar, Maddur, Mandya, Srirangapatna, Hunsur, Somwarpet, bailukuppe to Madikeri. While you can take any of the two routes, we recommend Route 1 Via NH 75. The road conditions are excellent and the time taken is less. via Nagarhole : If you are an adventurous person then you can take this route but start from Bangalore by the earliest, drive towards Bidadi, Ramanagar, Maddur, Mandya, Srirangapatna, Hunsur, Nagarhole route. Park your car at the entrance of the Nagarhole Forest and Don't get out of the Car unless it's necessary. The forest gates open at 6 AM with a high chance to spot wild animals since you could be the first person to drive through. It is better to avoid this route at night. From Nagarhole you can go towards Kutta, Gonikoppa & Medikeri. Lunch recommended Between Kushalnagar - Gonikoppa at BANANA LEAF RESTAURANT
